Processes
Guests are greeted warmly by our staff & taken to their lanes by an axe-pert. Here your axe-pert provides a safety orientation. We check for any prior injuries and use this information to tailor the technique and ensure guests are always comfortable.
From there we start with training, our axe-perts are present in close proximity to guests, providing constant feedback on technique and procedure to mitigate any potential risks.

So what does that look like?

Feedback & Supervision
Each guest is supervised at a ratio of 1 staff member for every 12 guests. Lanes are contained with safety cages.
Only 2 throwers are permitted in the lanes at any time, always under the supervision of an axe-pert. Axe-perts are actively supervising, providing feedback, calling games & keeping score!

We never take unnecessary risks, we have certain rules in place to keep guests safe:
- Dress code; close-toed shoes, hoods/scarves tucked in
- No drinks of any kind inside the lanes (these present a slip-risk)
- Intoxication; guests are not to drink prior to throwing axes
- We don't allow double bit axes in our venues
- The blade of an axe should always be facing away from the throwers
"My recent visit to Sweet Axe Throwing was an absolute blast! Our team event couldn't have been better, thanks to the fantastic experience provided by this place. From start to finish, the staff was amazing and made our time there truly enjoyable.
Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly and given a thorough safety briefing, ensuring that we felt comfortable and secure throughout the activity. The instructors were not only skilled axe throwers but also excellent teachers. They patiently guided each of us through the techniques, providing helpful tips to improve our throws and ensuring everyone had a great time.
What I appreciated most was the staff's enthusiasm and positive energy. They created a lively and inclusive atmosphere that got everyone excited and engaged in the activity. No matter our skill level, they made sure we had fun and felt accomplished with every toss."

Took my team to Sweet Axe as part of a Christmas planning day - was well worth the time and money. Our axe-pert Monty was a righteous dude and gave us all great coaching and instruction, within a safe and controlled environment. Our group was of varied ability, yet everyone agreed it was a wicked afternoon. Would definitely recommend to anyone, absolutely worth a go! Chur! |
